#1 Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

The 2010’s release of Spider-Man featured one of the first stories of him that crossed into the Spider-Verse in a novel way. This game was followed up with a sequel that starred the Spider-Man 2099 and the Amazing Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a third-person action and adventure game. Here, the player takes the role of one of the four versions of SpiderMan, which bridge between 2099, Amazing, Ultimate, and Noir universes.

The gameplay revolves around each of the different versions of Spider-Man’s unique superhuman abilities – to crawl walls, web zip, use spider sense, swing, and such. The combat of the game offers an extensive range of moves. Each of the versions of Spider-Man has its fighting style.

This is BioShock’s third installation of the game and is of the first-person shooter genre. With their third entry now, they are taking the game in an all-new direction.

The storyline of the game goes somewhat like this – After falling into debt to the wrong kind of people, a U.S. Cavalry veteran and now a hired hitman named Booker DeWitt has only a single opportunity to make his reputation clean. He is currently on a mission to rescue a girl named Elizabeth – who has been kept imprisoned since her childhood and is now in the flying city of Columbia.

#3 Injustice: Gods Among Us

This game consists of DC heroes who belong in an alternate reality in the multiverse of DC. In that world, the Joker conned Superman into unknowingly kill his wife named “Lois Lane” and their unborn child with her.

Superman then went too far and killed Joker as revenge, which in turn resulted in the destruction of the city of Metropolis. He later became a fascist ruler who went to great lengths to keep the world safe.

Later on, Batman and his allies transported the Earth-1 heroes to the Injustice universe. Then they team up to fight against the Man Of Steel.

The success of this game allowed for a sequel to be made named Injustice 2 – where the players can further explore the multiverse. The players will be able to travel to alternate realities and earn gear by fighting the heroes’ different versions.

#4 Mortal Kombat

The franchise of Mortal Kombat began with a tournament at first. The best fighters of the Earth entered to defend the planet against the warriors from other dimensions and realities. The realm of the Earth was one of the many dimensions out there that were threatened by the Outworld expansion.

The players in this game are set to explore the different worlds spanned across the franchise. They also enter the hellish Nether realm and the heavenly place named Edenia. The Kombat warriors here are able to shift between realms to fight in new arenas and locations. This game had a crossover between the DC heroes from other realities in the 2008’s version of the DC Universe vs. Mortal Kombat.

#5 Chrono Cross

After the success of the Chrono Trigger and how it made use of Time Travel, the developers then released Chrono Cross with an added twist. Serge, a teenager, shifted into a sort of parallel reality where his counterpart had drowned ten years prior.

In this game, the players can explore these parallel worlds to unshroud the mystery of the death of Serge while at the same time also adding each reality to the party. It was not possible to gather every character on a single playthrough of the game Chrono Cross. This installment of the game brought the fans back to explore more of the parallel worlds of “El Nido” and experience all of the alternate endings.
